Shockers Glass Studio offers an intensive, three-hour class in which up to two participants will learn the fundamentals of making a glass pipe. This class provides the foundation for understanding a pipe-makers process. If you want to know more about this ancient art form, this class will satisfy your basic curiosity, or may even set you off on a new life path! Side-by-side, working instruction will include learning how to properly hold and rotate the glass, gather, and blow the glass that lays the foundation for making a functional hand pipe. Once completed and after the glass piece anneals in the kiln, the participants can take their creations home. Open to ages 18 and up. Please wear a cotton shirt, cotton pants and closed-toe shoes. Protective eyewear will be provided.
